About "Too Many Podcasts!"

It’s the story of a lovely lady who was bringing up 3 very lovely girls...

Oops, sorry, having a very Brady flashback! Okay, here’s the story behind all of this madness. Some of you may know me personally, and know of my lifelong love affair with music. As I’ve grown older, I’ve found it was harder to find new music to get excited about. About 95% of my car radio is occupied by similar radio stations. All older music. (For those of you above 40, I’m sparing the use of the words “classic” or “oldies”.). Soooo, I was noticing the mention of these “podcast” things, so I figured I’d check some out. And there are thousands of them!!! (Foreshadow #1!) So, I settled in on about a core 20 (“my 20”), that I listen to throughout the week. But I do check out other podcasts, as well. So then, I noticed whenever I’d end up in a conversation with someone who knew about podcasts, I’d find myself recommending them. (Foreshadow #2!) Then, I saw an app called Anchor about creating your own podcast for free. (Ding! We have a winnaahhhh!) There’s a great community of other podcasters, new and experienced, who really help out and support each other. A lot of that community will appear on my show, talking about their show. Plus, I’ll recommend other shows later in the show that are similar to the featured podcast, if my listeners are interested.

You may or may not notice that I’m intentionally planning to have my show evolve, and as of now, April 2019, I’ve got some interesting ideas. I hope that show #20 will be quite different from show #1. That’s why I’m not interested in throwing negative reviews on other shows. I’m still learning as I go. And creating. I’m trying to get more listeners, because they will power the show; ultimately, I’m just here to guide them, which explains all of the “Sherpa” references.

I’m also working on expanding the social media presence of the podcast, but if you’re reading this, you already get it. I have plans for the social aspect of it, where we can connect and have fun, too, instead of getting into stupid political debates. It will be a positive experience on here for all.

So, this is where you can help. Check out the podcast, spread the word, leave a nice review, contribute if you want, any way that you want. No pressure there. I’ll be on the lookout for people to talk to, and podcasts to check out. And finding ways to make this fun for all, although I know that I can’t please everyone. But in the meantime, feel free to post about the show any questions or comments. Also, look for this podcast on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, which I have no clue how to use, but I’ll learn...I hope, Whatever you do, in small ways or large, always know you have my gratitude and appreciation, even if I don’t always say it. Ok, you can stop reading this now....thanks for your time!
